Set in the dense fabric of Hong Kong, this work draws from the visual and social tensions surrounding Chungking Mansions — a site where global flows, migration, and informal economies converge beneath the sheen of a hyper-commercial city.
Fragments of signage, advertising imagery, and architectural compression collide, suggesting a space where spectacle and marginality coexist. The presence of mass media hovers above the street, while figures below dissolve into anonymity, their identities obscured or erased.
The work constructs a psychological landscape shaped by excess, dislocation, and indifference — an urban condition where visibility and invisibility exist simultaneously.
