Walking along the streets of Paris was a real enjoyment in the morning, and these houses and street was a scene right across Montmartre, a large hill in Paris' 18th arrondissement. The iconic buildings of Paris beckoned me to snap some photos of these unique structures, and together with the shops and passers-by, it formed a strong composition that I wanted to paint as part of my Paris series.
The morning air was crisp and soon after, the sun became almost unbearably hot as I made my way up the church and visited one of Paris' most well-known tourist destinations. But again, this street scene of the houses of Paris left an indelible image in my mind as I recollected some of my memories from this romantic city.
